America MMXII is a collaboration between Wieden+Kennedy veterans Jason Kreher, Jimm Lasser and Tatum Shaw. Through photography, crossed-thread embroidery and a variety of other media, the show explores contemporary America and its intersection with classic American iconography. Shaw’s photographs capture the decadence, ruin and beauty of a Southern retreat in decline, Kreher’s cross-stitched quotes use humor to illustrate the changing role of the printed word, and Lasser’s multimedia installations offer a reexamination of American history.
